Naufal Group, a new entity of the Tropical Group with over four decades
of business acumen including over fifteen years of business exposure in the Middle East, is actively
involved in diverse business activities.
Having started off with timber trading in 1971, the group very soon expanded its operations
into saw milling, plywood and block boards, followed very soon by forays into plantations,
tile industry and international trade. More recently the group has ventured into the flourishing real estate market.
The saw milling, plywood and block board units are situated on the Mangalore University road, and cater
largely to the domestic market.
The group’s plantations are located beyond the Western Ghats, near Hassan, and produce coffee crops including
Arabica and Robusta. They also grow Pepper and other crops including Timber plantations.
The import – export operations cover a wide range of activities, mainly, import of timber for the saw mill unit
and local trading. For the Middle East operations, various products are sourced through their local export unit.
The group’s maiden real estate project – The Alcove - is situated in the very up-scale and one of the most
sought after locales of Mangalore, at Vaslane, Highlands, Mangalore on over half an acre property.
